Business & Tourism Solutions Ltd (BTS) Privacy Policy

This is the privacy notice of Business & Tourism Solutions Ltd, trading as BTS, registered in Scotland SC279869 and has been developed in line with the General Data Protection Regulation set out by the European Union. BTS is keen to operate current best practice and keep within the limits of GDPR regulations.

Information BTS collects

The information we gather and hold is telephone numbers and email addresses of suppliers, partners, clients, previous clients and people that we have met with and swapped business cards with along the way. We collect the data you have given to us in order to reply with the information you need.

If you are not yet a BTS client but send an email via our website, contact details and related information you supply will only be used to contact you about that specific request. By contacting us through our website, you are consenting to being contacted by BTS for the sole purpose of the request made.

When you become a BTS client, we will ask you for relevant data relating to carrying out our services, which generally includes: names, email addresses of specific personnel related to the project, phone numbers, business address and any relevant documentation required by us for the delivery of an effective consultancy service to your company.

When you visit the BTS website, browser data such as your IP address is collected anonymously from you by Google Analytics in order to improve the site and customer service. This data is not used to identify individuals and will be automatically deleted 18 months after collection.

BTS will never share your personal data with any other party unless requested as part of business operations such as an agreed referral.

How your information is stored

The information and files that BTS collects from you is stored on our secure cloud storage servers and is password protected.

Legal basis for using your data

BTS will only use personal data with your consent. This consent will be recorded via email communications or telephone conversations with you.

When you become a client, BTS will use your data in order to carry out the contract agreed between BTS and your business. In addition, BTS may process personal data for the purposes of their legitimate interests provided such processing doesn’t outweigh your rights and freedoms.

Getting access to your data

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
  • Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
