Let’s Grow Adventure Tourism Residential Workshop

Residential Workshop, Bagaduish, Aviemore 7,8 November 2021

It has been a very long and challenging period for the industry and, in particular, for a number of the participating LGAT businesses. This is a critical time as we emerge from Covid-19, the pandemic has had an everlasting effect on the world and it has without exception made the sector stronger, more resilient, and better able to adapt products and experiences to fast changing market conditions, as well as new consumer trends & expectations.

The Residential Workshop brought together more than 40 of the LGAT participants to hear from relevant industry speakers on the insights we need as we move through the pandemic towards recovery, and into what has become a very different landscape.

Although in recent months we have not been able to get together in person to build new relationships and collaborations, the workshop was an opportunity for all of us to meet new faces, foster new working relationships and build our community of like-minded operators. We also heard from Mollie Hughes, the Edinburgh-based adventurer and motivational speaker who became the youngest woman in the world to ski solo from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole.  She was 29 at the time.

The workshop has been recorded and will be available to view once the editing has been completed. The presentation slides are available for all to view and download. Until recording edited, here is a link to one of Mollies videos – Mollie Hughes makes history
